German Makarenko was born in 1964 in Yessentuki, Russia. From a young age, he loved to draw and develop his skills, and he had no doubt that he would make it his main job in the future. In 1986 German graduated from Art school in Stavropol, Russia. He is a member of the Russian Artists' Union.
The artist’s landscapes are made in a light, vivid impressionistic manner, surprisingly preserving the traditions of Russian realism. German’s paintings are saturated with the sun, they are light and airy and give viewers a charge of positive emotions, harmonize space and teach them to see the beauty of nature and the world around them.
German regularly takes part in exhibitions and plein-airs at home and abroad. His paintings are in private collections of many different countries of the world.
